Brand first, content second: why your Instagram feed feels inconsistent

When a feed looks scattered, the problem is rarely the photographer. It's usually that there's no clear brand direction to shoot towards. Content amplifies a brand; it can't invent one.
The signs of a missing direction
- Every post uses a different filter, colour or font.
- The brand looks premium on the website and casual on Instagram.
- Each shoot starts from zero, with a new mood every time.
Our pre-campaign checklist
Before any campaign, we make sure these are defined:
- Personality — three words that describe how the brand should feel.
- Colour and light — warm or cool, bright or moody, high or low contrast.
- Typography — one or two fonts used everywhere.
- Composition — how products, spaces and people are framed.
- Voice — how captions and on-screen text sound.
A strong identity makes every shoot easier, faster and more consistent.
Turn it into a simple guide
You don't need a hundred-page brand book. A one-page visual guide with references, colours, fonts and do's and don'ts is enough to keep photographers, designers and your social team aligned.
Then shoot
With the direction clear, content stops being random. Every photo and video builds the same picture of who you are, and your feed starts working as one piece instead of a collection of posts.
